I am an engineer at Infinite Epigenetics, where I work across the whole stack - backend, frontend, infra, ML, and product. I'm the engineering lead for our research team, but I also oversee our public API and Tally Health, a consumer brand we acquired.
A lot of my time goes to our methylation metrics pipeline, which I build closely with our bioinformatics team - we run more than 2,500 machine learning models in production across our commercial and research pipelines. Lately I'm also setting the direction of our public API as commercial partners integrate with our platform.
Before this I was on the scaling team in Oracle Cloud's Compute organization, where I helped scale bare-metal VNIC attachment from 0.125 to 6 requests per second - mostly by moving validation that didn't need to block internal calls off the hot path and reconciling it afterward.
I also cofounded a quant trading startup. Crypto markets are cyclical, so we matched the current market against similar past periods with cross-correlation and tuned our strategies with Tree-structured Parzen estimators on a custom backtesting harness - fully automated, trading Ethereum with no one in the loop. We returned 255% over several months and received an offer to license the system, but shut it down when the volatility dried up.
My master's is in computer science from Georgia Tech, where I specialized in machine learning. Reinforcement learning is the area I love most.
I'm almost always building something on the side - you can check out some of it on the projects page. I like small, opinionated apps that make your life easier by removing a chore.
Outside of work I lift, run, play a little chess, and read fantasy with my wife - who, at a hundred books a year, is Bookmarked's toughest user.
